I had a great set of interviews in the past two weeks for a job right down the street from me. I even told my sister that I would be surprised if I DIDN'T get the job. Skip to yesterday and I got the "Dear Applicant" email of doom. I don't get it. I have a long work history. I'm personable. I love to learn. Yet, it wasn't enough. I don't apply for jobs that I'm not qualified for, but I just do not know where I went wrong with this one.
I live in a city that is growing like crazy and getting an interview has been incredibly difficult. Most employers are sending out emails stating 'don't expect to hear from us until at least a week after the application deadline, as applications have reached into the hundred.' HUNDREDS.
Anyway, I am feeling defeated.
